Twenty indigent patients received surgical assistance on goiter throughManilaDoctorsHospital’s (MDH) medical-surgical mission, Goiter Ends Today through Surgery (GETS). The mission was held on August 18 and September 8.

GETS is one of MDH’s annual medical-surgical missions that provide surgical assistance to the underprivileged and underserved members of the society.

Headed by the Department of Surgery, in coordination with the Corporate Social Responsibility Department and other medical units, GETS provides surgeries to deserving underserved patients who have either benign or cancerous growths of the thyroid. MDH has been holding the mission for 10 years.

The beneficiaries, whose ages ranged from 20 to 57 years old, were chosen based upon intensive screening by the Department of Surgery and Corporate Social Responsibility Department to ensure that the least privileged members of the society are given the best medical care. The medical mission is being supported by MDH and the Metrobank Foundation.

Manila Doctors Hospital’s (MDH) Love our Lungs (LOL) special pulmonary care packages is extended until Sept. 30. They can choose between an Asthma Work-up and COPD Work-up and save up to 35% from the original package price.

The services covered in the package are chest x-ray, pre- and post bronchodilators, spirometry, pulse oximetry, and consultation with a pulmonary specialist.

The Love Our Lungs packages can be availed from Mondays to Saturdays from 8:00 am until 12 nn and 1:00 until 4:00pm. For inquires and appointment schedules, please call the MDH Industrial Medical Services Department at (02) 524-3011 locals 3350, 2287 or 3870.

MaDocs screens patients for cataract mission

Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH) is currently holding a patient screening for their in-house medical-surgical mission on cataract until October 30. Patient screenings are conducted from Mondays to Fridays from 8:00–10:00am and 1:00–2:00 pm at the MDH CSR Clinic at the Manila Doctors Hospital Annex onKalaw St., Ermita, Manila.

The medical mission, Share the Gift of Vision (STGOV), is one of MDH’s annual medical missions that offers surgical assistance to the underprivileged and underserved members of the society. Thirty indigent patients will receive assistance in cataract operation.
